Snowed in?

I've heard some of you are getting a lot of snow. We had just a little Christmas day, but today is beautiful sunshine. Soo here's the only snow I have.

Love these Pretty Serious polishes! Galaxy Invader is from the "They came from beyond Space" collection. I stamped with Konad M59, Chez Delaney T37, and D07

This is one from my flaky obsession days. Color Club Snow-flake over a blurple  franken.

Stay warm and thank you for looking!

Lemonade?

After my let down with Illa Raindrops I had the urge to make some raindrops of my own. I was really happy with the way they turned out. I may make more colors! They look like an icy lemonade :) That's exactly what I named it.

I then decided to stamp over it using Illamasqua Force and Dashica SdP8. I liked it better without the stamp. Oh well, you win some you lose some :)

Have a great day!

Galaxy nails

I have long admired the Galaxy nails seen everywhere. My particular favorite are the blue ones at Coewless. I finally decided to attempt them!

I decided to make them drip, in reverse. Easy enough... Maybe I will attempt the other way some other time.

I used the following polishes:
A base of Orly Haley's Comet, sponged on Ulta Whatever Floats your Moat with lots of Orly Lunar Eclipse. I went back in with China Glaze Custom Kicks and Four Leaf Clover. Then highlighted those areas with Essie Mint Candy Apple and Zoya Tangy. Then I splattered with a bit of white acrylic paint, just a touch. I stamped some stars that I isolated from Cheeky 46. I used Sally Hansen CSM Lavendar Cloud for the drips.

Here are all the colors I used. I used these self locking tweezers to hold a tiny piece of sponge for each color.

This is Orly Haley's Comet. I love it :)
Do you like this better without the drips? I think I might. I'm undecided.
Have a great day!

Raindrops on Roses...

and Whiskers on Kittens...

I finally pulled out Illamasqua Raindrops and put it on. I don't know if I didn't shake mine up well enough or if it just doesn't have many drops and is mostly rain. I didn't have it on long before I had the desire to stamp it.

.

The blue I stamped with is Illamasqua Force. The green and black are both Konad. The plates are from Dashica: 41, 58, and 77. I wish I had left the kitten off and just gone with the blue roses.
Have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is my final Valentine mani. The sun was cooperative the last couple of days, so it was fun to wear as holos are in the bright sunshine.

The colors I used are Jade Deja Vu (middle finger), Vermelho Surreal (ring finger), and Delirio Rose (pinkie and index). I stamped using Bundle Monster 317.

If you missed out on DS Divine, Jade Deja Vu is so close and even more holo.

Drum Roll....
The winner of the One Year Blogiversary Giveaway is Mixed Mama! Congratulations!

I hope your day was great. See you soon!

Laissez Le Bon Temps Roulet!

Happy Fat Tuesday! Here is my Mardi Gras mani.

I started with Lilacquer India Rose, OPI Skip the Gift Wrap, and OPI Dazzled by Gold. Two coats each.

I added one coat each of CrowsToes Cheshire Cat, CrowsToes Frogs Breath, and Opi Gift of Gold. I loved this so much, I almost stopped here.

Plates used: Chez Delaney H31 (diamond), Konad M77 (beads and feather), Chez Delaney D08 (Marilyn), Chez Delaney D05 (Mask), and DRK-B(Fleur de lis)

I used Konad black, red and green for stamping. I dotted with my base purple and some fine glitter on the mask. I freehanded a bit of red shimmer on the lips. The masked lady looked so much better IRL.

You can see past Mardi Gras manis here and here.

Pink Damask Valentine

I really like this design. I may wear it again without the heart accent nail later. I used Essie Muchi Muchi for the light pink. It was an impulse purchase. I had bought Butler Please and opened to find no brush. When I returned it, they had no more in stock. This was the replacement.

I used Orly Miss Conduct for the accent nail and stamping with DRK-B. I free handed the pink heart with Muchi Muchi. I went back over the stamping with a dotting tool on some of the curliques.

My Holo Holo Hearts

A sweet friend sent me this polish before Christmas and I've had it set out to wear. I decided I could resist it no longer. This is from Urban Outfitters and is called Silver Holo. Creative name right? It's a very soft silver, not too bright or metallic.

To make it Valentine themed, I stamped using Konad red and Bundle Monster 317. I liked the way it allows the holo to show through. The first picture is inside with incandescent lighting, the next two are outside.

Whooo loves ya? Blogiversary giveaway update

who who...
I loved this mani over at MixedMama so I wanted to recreate it with a Valentine's Day theme since I am Owl lover. I'm really happy with the results.

I started with two coats of Orly Decades of Dysfunction. Then I added a coat of Color Club Snow-flake. I used Konad black with gold Princess Polish to stamp using Bundle Monster 309 for the owls and vines. The leaves on the vines were heart shaped. So, I used Red Angel 20 and isolated hearts using first Konad white and then red to cover the black leaves. I stamped a couple of extra small hearts and dotted the center of the flowers with Konad red.

I like how the strong pink shimmer of the flakies is reflecting against the gold of the owl's shimmer. I cannot capture the flaky goodness in photos. This looks so much better in person. Try to imagine the flakies that you can see looking like they are embers. They show through on the owl's face and wings. It's a cool effect. The red is much darker too. I need to work on my camera settings.

I took a picture before I stamped. This very pale ivory/sand/taupe is my perfect nude color. lol

see the flakies pop in the shadows?

Catching up and One year!!!

Oh hey!!!

It's my 1 year blogiversary!

I passed my One Year Anniversary blogging this week. I must say it seemed to happen so quickly. I'm not the best at it, but I'm still here (read my first post). :D The Mayans were wrong. See, I was really disappointed about that, so I took a break. j/k ;)

I think I should have a little giveaway in celebration of my blogiversary. The only requirement is that you be a follower. Simple enough? I will post the winner 02*13*2013 - I just love numbers.
I will post the prize or prizes and the Rafflecopter tomorrow so be watching...

Here's some manis for now. First up for the Valentine's theme is OPI Pink of Hearts. I love the color on this one. It is a bit patchy at two coats. But I had not intended to wear it alone anyway.

I topped it with stamping (sorry I cannot remember this plate) but I know I used the Konad pink. I also added a coat of DS Shimmer and was happy with the results.

As I mentioned earlier. January was a flaky month for me. I'll be posting those interspersed.

This is the flaky that started my resent obsession. I was checking out at Ulta and pumped about the great deals I was getting combining clearance items and coupons. This was sitting there at the register the last one, so I grabbed it. *"* It was a bit pricier that I expected, but I couldn't resist. Thus, my flaky love was reignited. It looked great at two coats.

See you soon!
